Join us at the Conflict Transformation in the Arts and Beyond Convergence and Living Arts Ecosystem on August 23-24, 2025 from 10:30 to 5:30 at the Children’s Peace Theatre.
This event culminates a year-long collaborative project to expand well-being, resilience, and sustainability for individuals and organizations in the arts & adjacent sectors to better understand, navigate, and transform conflict. See our project site and blog here
Day 1 hosts our main programming
Day 2 is integration, reflection and breakouts related to first day’s programming
On site at the Convergence, we will hav available:

+ a space for rest and integration

Scarborough | Scriptures (REGISTRATION HERE)
is a storytelling, author and audience knowledge-sharing, and community-building event on Sunday September 8th 2024 celebrating the lineages and legacies of Scarborough rooted BIPOC authors.
The event facilitates the exposure of Scarborough based authors and their most recent works, while supporting knowledge-sharing and community-building between current, future and emerging ecosystems of Scarborough’s literary community, including readers and emerging authors. This free and pre-registered event will take place at Scarborough Museum and is open to all

RSVP and ensure to arrive by 8:15 pm to secure your headset. Drop ins are welcome for the clean up and screening however the audio for this film will not be on speakers. We will have limited headsets and require RSVP to use them. All films have subtitles so that those without headsets can still follow.

Artist Invocation | Parallel Portals < + > Sacred Geometry
Parallel Portals is a multidisciplinary presentation of works at the intersections of discipline, with priority to BIPOC, new-generation and 2SLGBQIA+ artists.
We will present works engaging with the questions
+ How can we create parallel in-person & digital portals of sacred geometry?
+ How does transhumanism intersect with art in the Age of Pandemia?
+ How can we create multidisciplinary work within digital portals in ways that uplift tactile, embodied human intimacies?
We are invoking three BIPOC artists to present 2-4 pieces of work in any discpline at the Fall 2023 presentation of Parallel Portals. The work will explore the questions above through an expression of Sacred Geometry
Thai Pongal Potluck and Arts Showcase | The Future is Ritual |
Thai Pongal is the Tamil Harvest festival held annually for over 5000 years.
On Tuesday January 24th 2022 at 6pm, Sneha/Sun, in collaboration with Greenhouse Theatre will be hosting a Thai Pongal Celebration as part of the The Future is Ritual series
Thai Pongal is a four day festival where on the final day people gather with family and friends, eat great food, and do folk dances, to celebrate the harvest. We will be celebrating the final day of the festival, Kaanum Pongal by hosting a potluck and arts showcase of Tamil artists from a variety of disciplines. We will also explore the roots of Pongal, what it looks like for the local diaspora, how you can cultivate a relationship with the land, and the ritual of Pongal by honoring ancient Tamil traditions without religious affiliation.
ALIGHT: New Moon Fire + Kinship Circle w. Arabi
In this new moon fire-tending session & kinship circle we learn:
How to build, start, and sustain a fire
Learning about different types of fires including fires for different seasons
Learn about different materials and wood
Learn about the difference of a fire to keep warm and a fire for cooking
We will also be invited to intentions for what we are planting in life both literally, spiritually, energetically
Muni Muni : Guided Tagalog and English Meditation + Circle w. Bennette
In this meditation and kinship circle, we are invited into a space of presence in the body and reflection on original forms of expression within our bodies and ancestral lands. We will hold space for teachings around our lived experience with language. Bennette will also share teachings around written forms of ancestral cosmology including Baybayin and how they are interwoven with the spirit of our oral traditions
