RE-NURTURING | Altars for Our Inner Children (The Future is Ritual)

The intention of this ritual is to carve space to let go of lingering childhood wounds. We will gather to create a communal altar for our inner children and ease into gratitude for our younger selves. This event is for anyone who identifies as BIPOC. We ask folks if they identify as a survivor of childhood gender based violence so they have priority.

to May 2

Artist Invocation | Parallel Portals < + > Sacred Geometry

  • Google Calendar ICS

Parallel Portals is a multidisciplinary presentation of works at the intersections of discipline, with priority to BIPOC, new-generation and 2SLGBQIA+ artists.

We will present works engaging with the questions
+ How can we create parallel in-person & digital portals of sacred geometry?
+ How does transhumanism intersect with art in the Age of Pandemia?
+ How can we create multidisciplinary work within digital portals in ways that uplift tactile, embodied human intimacies?

We are invoking three BIPOC artists to present 2-4 pieces of work in any discpline at the Fall 2023 presentation of Parallel Portals. The work will explore the questions above through an expression of Sacred Geometry

We will be celebrating the final day of the festival, Kaanum Pongal by hosting a potluck and arts showcase of Tamil artists from a variety of disciplines.  We will also explore the roots of Pongal, what it looks like for the local diaspora, how you can cultivate a relationship with the land, and the ritual of Pongal by honoring ancient Tamil traditions without religious affiliation.
